Learning and Training for Everyone

Volunteering with BITES could change your life.

Here is the story of former BITES volunteer, now staff member, Audrey Alexander .

"I was given the opportunity of working as a volunteer IT trainer with BITES in February 2006, so that I could begin to return to a work environment after a period of ill-health. Since joining them as a volunteer, I have to say that my self-confidence and self-esteem has increased greatly as I both rediscover and enhance both personal and professional skills.

It has been the most rewarding and valuable experience, as it not only helped the social isolation I experienced from not being able to work, but I also found something that I really enjoy doing and I have been given the further opportunity to receive training myself through ECDL and Digital Photography. BITES further showed faith in me by giving me the opportunity to develop and deliver a course in Digital Photography.

Without BITES, I may not have had this opportunity to gain access to this area of potential career opportunities.

I can only say Thank You BITES, which doesn't seem enough for all the support and opportunities they have given me over the past 20 months.
"

BITES depends on Volunteers
Find out why YOU should join BITES

When you look at what has been achieved by the small team of staff and remarkable group of volunteers at BITES it reveals a charity organisation with business roots and a professional attitude. BITES believes that IT should be made available to everyone and for them to widen the scope of the people they reach they need volunteers. Whatever your skills or experience if you have a few hours to spare each week they would love to hear from you.
Even if you feel that you don't have a particular skill but you are willing to lend a hand, please contact BITES. CLICK HERE
